To understand where we’re going, we need to know where we are. In terms of Behavioural Science (or B-Sci), this means finding out where, when, and how much it is being adopted in communications and PR. This is where The BS Monitor comes in.
The BS Monitor is, essentially, a report. Conducted via survey, it acts as Lynn’s yearly pulse-check on the grasp and application of B-Sci within the comms and PR industry. It reveals what the industry already knows about B-Sci – as well as what is left to learn.
With The BS Monitor providing a baseline assessment, Lynn aims to enable other practitioners to use B-Sci to its truest potential. By engaging with audiences to create campaigns which inspire, we hope to provide the industry with the tools it needs to elicit sustained behavioural change.
Now, in The BS Monitor’s second year, Lynn’s CEO and founder, Shayoni Lynn, is confident in what the results will lead to, saying, “The BS Monitor isn’t about egos or about who knows most. It’s about education, growth and, ultimately, how we can better serve our industry and the people who use it. We want other communications practitioners using B-Sci to positively impact people’s lives. To do good, for good.”
The BS Monitor report is due to be released in Spring 2023. In the meantime, if you’re a PR or communications practitioner interested in the growth of your industry, take just four minutes out of your day to complete The BS Monitor’s short survey.
